True Blood; Plot
In a society where humans and vampires co-exist, Sookie Stackhouse may have found a perfect boyfriend. Sookie is clairvoyant and constantly hears people's thoughts so it makes dating a bit difficult. When vampire Bill Compton walks into the bar (Merlotte's) where she works as a waitress, she realizes that she can't "hear" what he's thinking. Vampires came out of the coffin two years before when the Japanese invented Tru Blood, a synthetic blood substitute.

The cast of characters!

Anna Paquin plays Sookie Stackhouse on HBO's True Blood and is the lead character. Her telepathy allows her to read minds of the living only.

Stephen Moyer plays Bill Compton, hero of the show and Sookie's vampire boyfriend.

Alexander Skarsgård plays Eric Northman, the 1000 year old vampire Sheriff of Louisiana Area 5, and owner of Fangtasia, a V bar.

Ryan Kwanten plays Jason Stackhouse, Sookie's brother and airhead playboy of Bon Temp Louisiana, where they live.

Sam Trammell plays Sam Merlotte, owner of Merlotte's Bar, he is a shapeshifter and infatuated with Sookie.

Rutina Wesley plays Tara Thorton, Sookie's best friend, hot headed temper that always finds trouble.

Nelsan Ellis plays Lafayette Reynolds, Tara's brother and flamboyant line cook at Merlotte's, amongst other things.

Michelle Forbes plays Maryann Forester, villain? We still don't really know what the hell she is, but she does throw some wild parties.
