I have gotten some feedback from some folks about our storm in comparison to what they might get in their area. Here is a reply to one of those. Helps explain what we are up against here in the NW....
it is a different animal here. We have very few plows and people don't know how to deal with it, or drive in it. Also cause our ground temp never gets down to freezing it turns into ice. We had about and inch and a half of ice under that little bit of snow, so you have to have chains or you don't move. We also have no level ground here. Some streets they have to close cause even a tow truck could not get ya up or down those. Some folks get snow bound at home by defult if their street is closed, or worse they get stuck at work or in a motel. So yea, sure you had more than us but it is a nightmare every time it does it here, glad it doesn't do it to often tho.
Queen Anne again.
The Uptown was closed for some time but Siff Cinema has it back up and running now.
Friend of mine lived here so had to take a picture for him.
Looks like a newer Lexus parked in a no parking zone.
These two are from right in front of my work. Notice the maples still have leaves.
Front walk now has 5-6 inches of snow and about an inch or more of ice underneath that. I did finally shovel it out.
